Awhile back, some people started reporting problems with channel changing. It appears COmcast has started to disable the serial ports on the back of their set-top boxes.
There didn't seem to be an anser coming soon....as the people at Comcast played dumb. I eventually went back to the IR Blasters. About 3 x's a month, Tivo records the wrong channel. Maybe 1 out of 20 times. I have duct-taped the IR blaster down so they won't get misplaced and believe I have them in the best spot. Are the IR blasters known to be a bit unreliable? ...with a built-in "error factor". Like I said, they work good most of the time...but every now and then...they act up. AM I the only one? So far, it hasn't missed any of my mainstay shows...but when it does, I'm sure I'll be very irritated. lol Comments, experiences, suggestions? Dave
