Once upon a time Dave in Boston shaped the electrons to say... > Are the IR blasters known to be a bit unreliable? ...with a built-in "error > factor".
Kind of. They're IR, like any other remote. So they're subject to interference. And they're subject to any hiccups in the cable box. If it misses the change the TiVo can't know - with serial it does and will resend the change. The best thing I can suggest (other than going to a TiVo HD and ditching the cable box) is checking this thread for the recommended configuration for your box: http://www.tivocommunity.com/tivo-vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=128743 IR issues seem to happen more with Motorola boxes for some reason. -MZ -- megazone-at-megazone.org http://www.MegaZone.org/ Gweep, Geek, Human, me. http://www.TiVoLovers.com/ http://www.Eyrie-Productions.com/ -><- Hail Eris "A little nonsense now and then, is relished by the wisest men" 508-852-2171
