I'm pretty sure you'll have an output or two that will work on the new HDTV, but your picture quality will be limited to the source and the tivo.
FWIW, I have the new Tivo HD box, like it a lot. If you're not dealing with a lifetime service, I'd switch over, if you are, you might get Tivo to let you transfer your service to the new box, but that offer expired some time ago. www.weakknees.com offers units with lifetime on them, and upgraded drives. I'm sure there are other places as well.
