Hi MZ.

We installed TiVo Desktop Plus. It plays sound on the videos so that's half
the battle but no picture. Any other ideas other than returning the laptop
and giving up?

Thanks,

Kathy

It sounds like you don't have an MPEG-2 codec on your laptop, your
husband's machine probably came with some playback software, like DVD
software, that isn't installed on your machine. If you buy the TiVo
Desktop Plus I believe it will also provide that codec.
