I just bought a TivoHD and I'd like to back up the hard drive before I
start recording anything on it for the day that the drive eventually dies.
With my S2's I'm well-versed in plugging the drive into a Linux box and
using mfstool (v2.0) to back up everything, including programming, but
when I tried that with the new drive it said that both of the partition
tables were corrupted. The drive works fine in the TiVo and I was able to
back up the base files with winMFS and then transfer the image to a larger
drive, but I'd like to be able to use mfstool too. Is there something
different about the TivoHD's drive?

Thanks!
