Remembering that we all participate as individuals rather than representatives 
of an employer or other body, I think we should be wary of asking other 
participants for a formal comment on behalf of a third party.  Perhaps the TLS 
working group should consider whether an IETF liaison relationship with the NSA 
would be beneficial?

More generally, those people unhappy with the participation of current or 
former employees of any particular organisation in IETF leadership roles could 
address this by nominating themselves for those roles during the next Nomcom 
process.
