I'm using virtual accounts for mail users. Tmda-ofmipd is running as the 
user tofmipd which is used only for this purpose. I'm not using the -u 
option but rather using this command executed by root to start tmda-ofmipd:

su - tofmipd -c tmda-ofmipd <options>
