Well guys after using tmda for several months I've
decided to turn it off, which I have just done
for several reasons:

- the idea has merit, but the implementation crashes
  for me during tmda-pending.

- tmda enormously increased the use of my log files
and machine resources in attempting to deliver
messages to sites that would not accept them.

- it took me hours to deal with some 2500 spam messages
sent by a single furious spammer who didn't like tmda.

- it got no response to my request to this list for
  help with a tmda crash.

Finally

- I found something better at least IMO. Bayesian filters.

- The program required a bit of training, but I now rarely
get spam in my inbox, and when I do, I move the message
to my spam folder, the program thereafter classify identical or
  similar messages as spam. Cool.

- It took less than 1/10 the time to setup than it took
  to setup tmda.

- The program I am using is called annoyance-filter and
  can be found at: www.fourmilab.ch/annoyance-filter

Good luck,

Kern
