I don't know what's up with your installation, but I have never crashed 
using TMDA.

I took a quick look at the filter you mentioned as I'm always interested in 
something new. As they pointed out on the web page, the idea has been 
around for 25 years. Why has it not caught on? Because the ONGOING time 
involved and the unreliability of the filter concept. You are going to have 
a very important email thrown in with hundreds of spams, and you'll never 
find it. If you're willing to live with that, it may be the right solution 
for you. You may want to look around a bit because there are many of these 
filters that are based on scoring the content of the email.
