So then, you're saying that using the confirmation URL is just the same as
me going into tmda-pending myself and releasing the message? I kind of
suspected that this may be the case... but confirming all released emails
is not a desirable thing (to me).  I still like to release the odd
automated "email confirmation" message without adding the addresses to my
list.

Maybe it would be possible to have tmda-cgi URL confirmation configurable
with something like a CGI_CONFIRM_APPEND config var (which would be the
filename list for url confirmations, though probably a more complex
solution than my next idea), or a variable CGI_CONFIRM_ACTION which could
be set to "whitelist" or "release", appending the address to
PENDING_WHITELIST_APPEND and releasing it or just releasing it without
appending.

Of course, if the powers that be are still in the process of reorganizing
the internals of TMDA, there may well be an easier way to just "really"
confirm it in the near future without any of these kludges.
