If you don't provide POP3, then I recommend checkpassword (program) authentication. Failing both of those, there is always file/default authentication. This is nice if for some reason you don't want all of your users to be able to access tmda-cgi. I can't think of a reason for that, but if you did, this would be an easy way to make sure they couldn't. I think I'll change the default in configuration to be remote and then re-order the items on the auth.html page. Perhaps that will push sysadmins in the right direction the first time.
