Are you saying that even after DNSBL's like proxies.blackholes.easynet.nl, dynablock.easynet.nl, relays.ordb.org & sbl.spamhaus.org *and*SpamAssassin you *still* have 99.9% spam being accepted and queued on your mail server?
Yes of all of the messages received by our server that arent't dealt with by DNSBL's and spamassassin, over 99% of them are still SPAM. We are running a fairly large system. We have 4-100 GB drives in our mail server in a RAID 0/1 Array. So essentially we have one 200GB mirrored drive.
Do you have any stats on how many messages are rejected by these methods? maybe something is broken...
What MTA are you using?
Sendmail (let the mocking begin!!!)
Do you have any domain blocking rules in Sendmail? There are lots of things that can be done there.
On the other hand I also use razor and it does a good job as well.
