Hi!
When signing up for mailing-lists, I can use a "sender" address. Throuch
tmda-cgi I can specify another address than my default. This is very good.
But when sending mails, my outgoing filter is tag'ing my default
mail-address, and not the one used when subscribing - and this causes
problems when posting to the list. - And yea, I know taht I can just use my
default-address when signing up. But the illustrate the problem, consider
this:
A guy named Jens Hasen has an email address [EMAIL PROTECTED] - and an alias
for [EMAIL PROTECTED]
The default mail address in his mailer-software and tmda-config is set to
[EMAIL PROTECTED]
When signing up to mailing-lists, he uses [EMAIL PROTECTED] -
the mails from the list arrives without problems.
When posting to the list, the From: header says [EMAIL PROTECTED] and
is changed to a sender-address and a dated reply-to with this statement in
the outgoing filter:
to [EMAIL PROTECTED] tag
from [EMAIL PROTECTED]
reply-to dated
The problem is now, that the message most likely will bounce from the list
if checks are made on the from address (because it's listed as
[EMAIL PROTECTED] - instead of
[EMAIL PROTECTED])
Is there a way to specify the "base address" when doing the trick with
sender addresses in the outgoing filter ?
/Brian
