I don't understand this, but for a start, can you post your
/home/kelvind/.tmda/config file and, if you haven't set
LOGFILE_OUTGOING in your config, please set it, run a test and post
the contents of the logfile?

You should only use the colon if you are putting the X-TMDA: header
field into the message header.  For X_TMDA_IN_SUBJECT, don't use the
colon; i.e.,

Subject: X-TMDA bare=append This is a test
