OK this is odd. TMDA has been working fantastic for me for several
months. But all of a sudden in the past week, I have had 3 messages
pop-up in my pending list that are different. These 3 messages are
confirmation messages being sent to me because of an e-mail that was
sent to me, SUPPOSEDLY by ME.

The mail was not sent by me, but by someone else, who is apparently
forging the Return-Path: header, as well as the From: header and
inserting my e-mail address in those headers. So when TMDA tries to
send the confirmation e-mail, it gets sent to ME. Of course I don't
have to confirm it. And of course even if they had used a fake address
in the first place, they still would not have a confirmation letter
anyhow, but just the same, I'd prefer to bounce the message at some
point to prevent my system from even accepting it. I know that that is
something that should most likely be done from qmail before TMDA ever
sees it.

So I guess what I'd like to know is this: have any of you run into
this, and how do you handle it? Just ignore it? Add something to the
configuration that prevents it from happening? Reject it at the MTA?

Any suggestions would be helpful.

Thanks,
David
