I'm relieved that I don't need root permissions (so there's a chance I can
use TMDA).

Now I'll ask my provider for the MTA they're using and will get back to you.

You don't need root permissions to install or run TMDA.  However,
depending on what mail server (MTA) the provider uses and how it is
configured, it may or may not be possible to run TMDA successfully.
You would need to find out some details of the MTA configuration
before we could answer this question.  The first question is which MTA
they run.  After you know that, we can ask other questions relevant to
that particular MTA's configuration.

Not that I know of, although people have written some HOWTOs for
certain types of configurations.  The best thing to do is to read the
