Hi All,
Just wanted to say a big thanks to Jason and the
team (Tim, Gre7g etc), and everyone else who has contributed to TMDA. I've been
using it here as the base code of our spam filtering service, and its been
working wonders!!
To give you an example, over the past month and a
half, here are some stats for all the mailboxes that are currently using
tmda:
- Bounced emails: 45,005 (from
blacklists)
- OK emails: 70,599 (from whitelists)
- Pending emails: 188,707 (mail not on black or
white lists)
- Confirmed emails: 15,275 (mail confirmed by
sender)
total emails gone intercepted by tmda:
319,586
So as you can see, our customers have already
blocked 45,000 spam emails in the last 45 days! Thats an average of 1000
per day!! Even though thats only 14% of total mail for these spam filter users,
this should increase over time, as users are still setting up their black &
white lists. Thats why the pending emails figure is quite high. Also as we get
more of users onto our spam filter service, this will reduce spam even
more!
