Which statement I fully support, in todays internet climate, an email server REQUIRES a broadband connection to function properly. The days when you could use a PDP-11 and a 300 baud modem are gone for good, whether we like it or not. Heck, most places won't even accept mail if your server is on a dialup address, you get sent straight to /dev/null or blackholed.
Though if you're an email server administrator and a few thousand joe-job emails are enough to cause you problems, perhaps it's time to find a new line of work, now if it was millions maybe you'd have a point. I'm a bit miffed that you took what I said so far out of context, especially since I agree with you that there is such a thing as excess challenges and use rbl's and spamassassin to weed out all the easily identifiable spam before using TMDA. You're being far too confrontational about this entire issue, and I don't see how that's going to be very helpful.
