OK, so now that I've spent a considerable amount of time on getting my Linux machine tuned up and doing just what I want it to do, RedHat announces that in the next 6 months, all support and updates for RedHat Linux will cease and the only offering they will support is the RedHat Enterprise Linux.
And considering that my needs are fairly limited... e-mail for family and a few friends, web server, etc. I'm not necessarily looking to spend hundreds of dollars on a product just for the support. Sure I guess I could use RH9 forever, but that means that when vulnerabilities and exploits are found, RedHat will not be fixing them. So for those of you out there that are using RedHat... I'm open to suggestions for other versions that have regular security updates and patches when needed. Thanks, David __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
