Don't know if he's on those lists - there are user lists for the software -
I'll post these links though and see if I can get it noticed.
I did try this change as you suggested originally though (Sam (courier
author) had told me I had another error when piping through env before...)
and it DOES seem to help...
the message is no longer stuck in the queue... it disappears completely!
to "| env SENDER='$SENDER' /usr/local/tmda/bin/tmda-filter"
My local delivery agent is maildrop, so all I had to do to accept wildcard
addresses was touch the .courier-default file...
I have also tried setting it's contents to:
|/usr/local/courier/bin/maildrop
no luck...
I also tried:
|/usr/local/bin/preline /usr/local/tmda/bin/tmda-filter
|/usr/local/courier/bin/maildrop
(at which point I stop getting my confirmation emails... so I think the
empty file was right).

I'm not sure. It has been reported already with no response by the
Courier maintainer.
