All in /home/vpopmail/domains needs to be vpopmail:vchkpw Every thing in there needs to have those permissions set.
Yes, your compile is correct on vpopmail, although I would have used the following also (does not have to do with tmda really)... ./configure --enable-roaming-users=y --enable-tcpserver-file=/etc/tcp.smtp --enable-relay-clear-minutes=180 --enable-domainquotas=y --enable-logging=p --enable-defaultquota=50000000 --enable-default-domain=nesys.it --enable-valias=y --enable-qmail-ext=y Sam -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Andrea Riela Sent: Tuesday, January 20, 2004 7:09 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: RE: Tmda for newbie Sam wrote: > Yes, you need the .tmda dir (along with anything else) vpopmail:vchkpw > so vpopmail can read it. > (Example... drwxr-xr-x 7 vpopmail vchkpw 512 Aug 22 17:23 > .tmda ) All in /home/vpopmail/domains/nesys.it/test/.tmda is vpopmail:vchkpw? The dirs 'filters', 'lists', 'logs' 'pending' and 'responses' too? .tmda/crypt_key and all files, always vpopmail:vchkpw? > I would recommend enabling - (dash) support in vpopmail (it makes > following the dynamic addresses easier). > When compiling vpopmail check the options for this feature. > That way you do not need a .qmail-user file in the root directory, > just the users directory. I've compiled vpopmail whit these options: ./configure --enable-tcpserver-file=/home/vpopmail/etc/tcp.smtp --enable-qmail-ext --enable-defaultquota=NOQUOTA Right?
