Since you're running it as root, it's looking in root's home for a
crypt_key thing, you probably haven't run tmda-keygen as root. Not
that this is necessarily something you should do..

> Could not find platform dependent libraries <exec_prefix>

Do you have more than one copy of python installed? Try using the -v
and see what it says.
