What are you trying to accomplish? I regularly send mail from my Windows machines through tmda-ofmipd... which is running on my Linux mail server - NOT on the Windows machine.
The linux mail server which runs tmda on incoming stuff for me is not owned by me, and I don't think the people who run it would appreciate me opening extra ports for my own use.
At present tmda-ofmipd runs locally on my own linux box (which isn't practical for incoming as it's on a dialup link), but I'll be needing to work off a windows laptop for a month or two soon.
I can get by not using tmda's outgoing features (I can use tmda-cgi to generate addresses for anything really essential), but it would be nice not to have to!
Thanks for any help.
