Stephen, thank you for the pointer. I am in the /var/log/qmail/
folder where the qmail logs are stored, and I have these folders.

drwxr-x---  2 qmaill qmail 4.0K Jul 28 00:08 authlib
drwxr-xr-x  2 qmaill qmail 4.0K Aug  6 13:21 clamd
drwxr-x---  2 qmaill qmail 4.0K Aug  6 03:53 imap4
drwxr-x---  2 qmaill qmail 4.0K Jul 28 00:08 imap4-ssl
drwxr-x---  2 qmaill qmail 4.0K Aug  6 13:39 pop3
drwxr-x---  2 qmaill qmail 4.0K Jul 28 00:08 pop3-ssl
drwxr-x---  2 qmaill qmail 4.0K Aug  6 13:20 send
drwxr-x---  2 qmaill qmail 4.0K Aug  6 14:15 smtp
drwxr-xr-x  2 qmaill qmail 4.0K Aug  6 13:55 spamd
drwx------  2 qmaill qmail 4.0K Jul 28 00:08 submission

I am presuming that inbound emails would be in the smtp folder. And
in that folder I have these kinds of files:

-rwxr--r--  1 qmaill qmail 975K Aug  6 00:10 @40000000489940502e726f2c.s
-rwxr--r--  1 qmaill qmail 975K Aug  6 00:47 @40000000489948ee2988e964.s
-rwxr--r--  1 qmaill qmail 975K Aug  6 01:03 @4000000048994ce71541a874.s
-rwxr--r--  1 qmaill qmail 975K Aug  6 01:29 @40000000489952ea27dc3f1c.s

It was just this morning that I was doing a bunch of testing and so by
the file timestamps I see there are about 30-40 for today. I've
looked into several of them, but they don't have any timestamps
inside, so I don't know which logs to look at. However I have looked
at some with the file timestamp during my testing this morining and
there are no indications of errors or failures. Most of the entries
look like this:

@400000004899636c11a0a83c CHKUSER accepted rcpt: from
<[EMAIL PROTECTED]::> remote
<www.mydomain.com:unknown:xx.xx.xxx.xxx> rcpt <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> :
found existing recipient

I've grep'ed for all instances of my email address (the one I was
testing this morning) and cannot find any logs pertaining to failures.

Am I looking in the right place?
Thanks
John
