Thanks. May I suggest updating this section: http://tmda.net/filter-sources.html#email_file to be absolutely clear about that? My order of operations was 1) read the section on e-mail address files, 2) copy the example usage from "sample incoming filter". While it's clear that I should have read the section on auto database flags prior to using them, I suspect other users will make the similar mistake of reading the sentence "Wildcarded email addresses are supported in textfiles" and not making the distinction between textfiles with auto-database features turned on and off.
