No one answered this, so I guess I will do some additional testing to see how it works. > A couple of final questions: Does the vuserinfo program have to be run > as the vpopmail user? Yes, or root. I now have a working vpopmail installation serving the virtual domain example.com. It doesn't require a password. I spent almost as much time in the last couple days installing things as writing code! VPopMail has more options than you can shake a stick at and the sSMTP program wanted libnsl* which doesn't exist on FreeBSD. Sigh. However, I just ran a test, logging into tmda-ofmipd as [EMAIL PROTECTED] (from sSMTP) and sending mail to myself. The postmaster virtual user's config was read from the postmaster's user directory, logging occurred to the file specified there and the outgoing filter (non-default location) was consulted and used. The mail was successfully delivered to me. This is a typical vpopmail installation. I still need to test the IP-based domain config and the VMailMgr support. After I finish basic testing and write a HOWTO, I'll get all this checked in.
