I'm not sure what exactly caused the problems that Matt Simerson described in his article, but there would probably come a point when even cdbmake won't be fast enough. I'm sure you'd have to have a ton of users accessing the CDB and writing to it in order to reach that point though. Thanks for taking the time to run those benchmarks, Jason. Very interesting stuff. We have preliminary MySQL support in CVS, and I have a solution with CDBs that is almost as good as MySQL support in the first place.
