How is this related? UPGRADE says: * tmda-ofmipd now forks into the background by default. Use the ``--foreground'' option to retain the old behavior. So, if it doesn't work with svscan now (with -f), it didn't before, right? > I haven't tried using fghack to see if that makes it happy, but it > would be nice if I didn't have to. Well written code shouldn't > require such nasty hacks. See the -users archives for discussion on svscan and tmda-ofmipd. Andrew St. Jean has a HOWTO which shows how he made it work. That said, there is no consensus on how to make it work. It works perfectly for some, and others can't make it work at all (even following the same instructions, etc.). Personally, I've *never* liked daemontools/svscan. I always found it non-intuitive, and difficult to setup/configure, with unpredictable behavior. I avoid it whenever I can. YMMV. _________________________________________________ tmda-workers mailing list ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) http://tmda.net/lists/listinfo/tmda-workers
