How unfortunate.

I can understand Python 2.5 breaking things, because the asyncore
library might have changed, and tlslite (which tries to get in bed with
asyncore a bit) was released well before Python 2.5. I'll try and get
hold of a box with Python 2.5 (or build it) to see what's up.

I don't have a good explanation for this:

Especially since it's what I tested. What version of Thunderbird are you
running? I think mine was 1.5.0.9 or so, on Windows.
