Neda, tell your father not to get discouraged. I think a lot of us
have these ups and downs. Me too. In the 6 yrs since TM, I
have periods of time when I have to use a walker and then I get a bit better
and I can go back to just a cane. There are so many reasons for these
flare-ups. My last one was caused by a bladder infection. I
wasn't able to walk at all for about a week but when the medication removed
the infection, I had to use a walker for a few weeks until I became stronger.
I can't give up the cane though. Sometimes my legs just fold for
no reason and the cane prevents me from falling. All my good wishes
for your father.
