Re: Lesions/ map of the spinal cord regions

Thank you, Jim.  This diagram is much clearer.  You know, I didn't realize how huge my lesion was until January, 6th.  It extended from C7through T10.  I asked my neuro why I  wasn't told at the onset, and he said that he didn't want to frighten me unduly and hinder my recovery.  Luckily for me, the whole extension of it was incomplete, and plasmapharesis has enabled me to at least *walk*. (Like Jack Nicholson in the hatchet scene from *The Shining*, but I walk, nonetheless.)

I think that it's important to understand not only the result of an illness or disease, but the cause and future implications.  I've learned to be proactive (Much to my neuro's chagrin.  *S* No, just kidding, he encourages me.) re: my Devic's and disability.

As always, thank you Jim.  Your a peach!
