And here I am to further add to your
confusion:
Me missus was dx'd with TM in 97
Sept with a lesion at T-8. She had a second 'incident' in 99 Feb at C-5,6
so her neuro changed her dx to MS, which we had no prob with because she could
qualify for the ABC's, and we chose Avonex. Today, 304 injections later,
she is doing just fine. And no, MRI's have shown no
lesions in her brain. So, go figger.

Elvisland; nope, noe moe snoe here.

Subject: [TMIC] Confusion I guess I'm confused about the brain
lesions!
Hi, I was at the Johns Hopkins TM site yesterday reading
some of the papers written by several prominent docs.
The consensus is that with
MS, there are lesions on the brain and that with TM, there are lesions on
the spine and none in the brain. If lesions develop later, after a dx of
TM, then the dx is changed to MS and is considered Ms all
along.
There is some new
information on the Tm site since I had been there last and some of the papers
were interesting reading. Maybe someone else ought to go there and make
sure that I have it right, but I'm pretty sure that I read it
correctly.
Peace,
Jude
