Hi
Well I feel there has to be a reason
for not liking yourself, most of the times it is guilt about something that
prompts it. But I suppose if you still put it down on paper and read it after a
day or two I am sure you would then start to rationalise your reasons for not
liking yourself. In a way that would help. Maybe you will see in black and white
that what you are feeling is all wrong. But a word of caution don't
wallow in self pity, that is more harmful than not liking yourself. So
before you start your journal take time to write down all the traits that
you think other people and you love about youself. Then see if it works. I have
personally gone down a long road where I had come to terms with a lot of things
about myself. I did have moments of self pity and those I remember being the
worst times, but then it also made me more determined to see myself as I truly
am and the acceptance came that okay that was it and now I can do
something about it and feel better. It changed my way of thinking and I became
more confident and took care of myself more.
Hope it works for you.

you reach it, it will light up the path for you to take."
