OK Dr. Frank, uristat is from the makers of monistat, they are phenazopyridine hydrochloride tabs. They turn my pee orange..you only take them a max of 2 pills after each meal, 3x a day, for 2 days. It helps me pee a little easier (also take any pain/burning away if I had any (i don't), and the *urge* to pee that some get when they feel like they have to pee and they don't. It's not the case for me, like you said after I pee, then go on to do other things, my bladder still feels like I need to, and I usually do and go, sometimes lately tho I need to give it a little push and out it flows. yeah I know we have issues now, I have had them all along and especially during and after my period...never had it before, but I guess with TM there is a first for everything. So I agree with the engorgement, I think that's what it is, because I have no pain, no more blood, and the pills seem to be helping some. I did get evaluated once a few!

ago and they said everything was fine and in *regular* order...that this was just my nervous system acting up.
What is the therapy? kegels? I try to do that, but still not strong enuff on the inside. I was told sucking my tummy in at the abdomen and releasing is the same muscles tho, so I try daily too.

I think your urinary problem is secondary to the TM and aggrevated by your menses causing engorgement of your pelvic contents ( too graphic???). I often will empty my bladder then start brushing my teeth or washing my hands or face only to have to urinate again. we lack all the control over the bladd!

You might get evaluated by a urologist doing a cystometrogram on your bladder. I do physiotherapy with my bladder, and it helps... that maybe too graphic- get an evaluation done.
