Debbie, I also have facial involvement and so do many others. The face nerves that are involved for me are at C2. It is my right side and after 8 years, when I breath in through my mouth it still feels warm and without any temp feeling. I also at times burn the inside of my mouth because I can't tell the temperature. My very first symptom was a burning on the inside of my right nasal passage, almost like I had gone swimming and had water in my nose, yet much more intense. At the first symposium in 1999, a gentleman spoke about how his sneezes start and then stop when it hits the numb area. I was very happy to hear that others had the same symptoms. Lori
