It does not seem that President is "clueless" yet rather
is following his own convictions pertaining to the sanctity of life for which I
commend him.
I assume he derives his stand on the issue from
Scripture, the Bible, and maybe even common sense realizing that the use of
human embryo is only the beginning in the practice of "harvesting" needed tissue
from one human to another "more worthy" etc. etc.
I don't claim to be extremely knowledgable on this
controversial subject and wish to see success in this research (which
can happen without government monies and without embryo) but we shouldn't
fall into the trap of the end justifying the means no matter what the
means. Since others have mentioned their church/religious connection I
will too. I also am an independent Baptist.
