It does not seem that President is "clueless" yet rather is following his own convictions pertaining to the sanctity of life for which I commend him.
I assume he derives his stand on the issue from Scripture, the Bible, and maybe even common sense realizing that the use of human embryo is only the beginning in the practice of "harvesting" needed tissue from one human to another "more worthy" etc. etc.

I don't claim to be extremely knowledgable on this controversial subject  and wish to see success in this research (which can happen without government monies and without embryo) but we shouldn't fall into the trap of the end justifying the means no matter what the means.  Since others have mentioned their church/religious connection I will too.  I also am an independent Baptist.

Well it looks like our President George "the clueless" has used his VETO POWER to kill stem cell research.  Something he obviously knows nothing about and is highly influenced by the "Moral Majority"....  What an idiot.  And I voted for that guy and had confidence in him until this issue along with him wanting to turn our ports over to Dubai came up.  Things that truly make you go "WTF?"
