THE ARGUMENTS BEING PRESENTED ON BOTH SIDES OF THE ISSUE ARE FAIR AND
VALID. THANK GOD WE LIVE IN A COUNTRY IN WHICH WE ARE ABLE TO SPEAK OUR
MINDS. I WILL NOT TAKE SIDES, HOWEVER THIS ISSUE WILL BE SIMILAR TO WHEN
ABORTIONS WERE ILLEGAL. PEOPLE WHO COULD AFFORD IT WERE ABLE TO GO TO
EUROPE AND OR OTHER COUNTRIES AND HAVE THE PROCEDURE DONE. LIKEWISE WITH
STEM CELLS, MANY OTHER COUNTRIES ARE MOVING FULL SPEED AHEAD (ISRAEL FOR
ONE) WHICH AGAIN WILL ALLOW PEOPLE OF MEANS TO RECEIVE THE TREATMENTS
NOT AVAILABLE HERE.
I FOR ONE WOULD TRAVEL TO THE END OF THE EARTH TO BE CURED OF THIS
DREADED CONDITION. HOWEVER CONSIDERING THAT I AM 58 YRS OLD AND IN THE
BEST CASE SCENARIO, HUMAN TESTING IS STILL YEARS AWAY AND THE FIRST
PEOPLE WHO WILL BE TREATED WILL BE THE MOST SEVERLY ILL (CONSIDERING
THEY WOULD HAVE THE LOWEST DOWNSIDE), I BELIEVE FOR MOST OF US A CURE IS
AT BEST A DECADE AWAY. THEREFORE I WILL CONTINUE TO SEE DR. KERR ONCE A
YEAR TO HAVE MY MEDS ADJUSTED AND OR CHANGED, I WILL TRY TO KEEP A
POSITIVE ATTITUDE AND FINALLY DO MY BEST TO NOT DISCUSS RELIGION OR
POLITICS. EACH OF US WILL MAKE OUR OWN DECISION AND I FOR ONE WILL
RESPECT ALL DECISIONS AS LONG AS KNOW ONE TELLS ME I AM GOING TO HELL
BECAUSE THEY FIND MY DECISION TO BE AGAINST GOD'S TEACHINGS.
I PRAY WE ALL COME TO TERMS WITH THIS ISSUE AND THAT GOD HELPS FIND A
CURE FOR OUR HORIFIC CONDITION.

I think this is a great discussion, and I find it interesting that so
many people in our situation are sided with Bush on this one. I
should note too that I had a lengthy discussion over emails with some
of my friends throughout the day yesterday, and this thread is going
great as well.

Debate and arguing over ideas is what our country is based upon, so
even if the govt. didn't do what we all wanted them to do, they did
spark a lot of discussions as I'm sure others across the country like
us are having--that in itself is a good thing.
