Barbara,

I really enjoy communicating with you and I respect your opinion, but I honestly feel that your response was condescending in itself.  I wasn't being vulgar.  I was just plainly venting.  Right or wrong.  Even if there was a line, I do not believe I stepped over it.

Nobody said it wasn't ok to voice opinions -- that's what we're all doing. :-)

I'm fine with attacking the issue. But I don't think we need to attack the person, whether it's the president or another TMer. We don't need to resort to name-calling and condescension with those with whom we disagree.

I think talking about controversial issues is helpful in understanding each other's side and way of thinking, but it can be civil.

Since when is it not ok to voice our opinions on this list anyway?  This is
a very touchy subject and emotions run high (hence the name calling) If I am
upset and want to "vent" even if I get a little sideways....Is that now not
ok?
Can we not attack an issue with conviction and not be looked down upon by
certain people in our "support group"
