Larry,
I appreciated your comments about relaxing, stretching, and accepting
limitations. I too have found those things helpful, though I'm still working
on learning to NOT push myself so much. I've been fortunate to not have to
take too many meds, and credit my doing as well as I'm doing, partially to
that! I know meds are sometimes necessary, but they also usually complicate
things.
You might be interested in something I've found really useful to help me relax
so I can cut back on the drugs that I might otherwise need: GABA Calm (Source
Naturals brand). It's amino acids combined with magnesium - basically, a
natural supplement type of thing. I've been working with a pharmacist who
helps people with 'med management' and he's really good at suggesting 'natural'
remedies rather than drugs, whenever possible. He also showed me where to find
things like this online at about 1/2 price! Vitacost.com and Betterlife.com
are 2 good sites. (I paid about $8 for the GABA.)
Take care,
Sally
