Dear LIst, Good morning from Tn. I have been having a weird leg pain that seems
to be getting worse as time goes on. I took it to my Dr. and she described it
as a form of bursitis called grey bursitis. It is a constant pain and I feel it
is complicated by muscle atrotphy. The pain seems to dominate around my hip
bone and goes south involving the kneecap and the muscles and ligaments all the
way down to my ankle. It is only in my left leg. The pain like I say never goes
away and the pain also is very hard to describe. I guess that is the reason I'm
having trouble getting relief. I rub it down real heavy with Icy Hot at night
and that helps for a while . My wife is so sick of smelling Icy hot that I
think she is going to start sleeping in another room. Just kidding We neither
one sleep well without touching each other at night. I have no feeling on the
outer layer of skin so this pain is totally from the inside like a bone ache.
What should I try.Pressure seems to help and I w!
as thinking about wrapping it with ace bandage not to tight as to cut of
circulation. I've heard of a sleeve type thing that also warms and pulsates.
Has anyone got any of these same type leg pains.And if so what have you tried.
The Dr. is giving me Hydrocortisone shots in the area but they don't seem to be
helping. Somebody help me please. Rick
