Grace,

I am so sorry, but we have all done it. I was so sure I could carry my
school bookbag and my purse out to get my walker. just a very few feet. well
down I went. miniscule fracture in my knee!!!!! I had to cancel a trip to
Italy (7 women just turned 60) and I was in a wheelchair for 3 months. NO
weight bearing at all on the knee. I guess we actually at times forget that
it's not worth saying . "Oh, I think I can do it" when it really shouldn't
even be considered!!

My thoughts and prayers are with you!

Trudy

Guys, when am I going to learn that my feet and legs don't always do what I
want, or expect them to do? Got very brave this morning and decided to use
a step stool (What was I thinking?) in order to change a light bulb from my
ceiling fixture. Well, after a bit of a struggle, I got up there all right,
but then my legs just completely gave out and I fell. My left elbow took
the brunt of it, receiving a cut to the bone and requiring a visit to the
local emergency room where I received six stitches. I should have known
better, and for the life of me cannot figure out where my head was at.
Getting up onto that stool was just plain STUPID! Well, I'm gonna go lie
down for awhile. My entire arm is throbbing.
