AND YET, GOD, AS YOU SOME OF YOU SAY, STRUCK ME, (AS HE DID YOU) IN HIS INFINITE GOODNESS FOR REASONS THAT YOU ARE PERFECTLY WILLING TO ACCEPT, WITHOUT QUESTION. Regina, Who said that "we" are willing to accept this "gift" from God, "without question"? I am quite certain that at one time or another, every one of us has questioned why we have been Blessed with Transverse Myelitis. The first thing that always comes to my mind is that, "there are always many more people who are much worse off than we are." Then, if we really think about it, I will bet that most, if not all, of us, we Believers in Our Lord and Father, God, can come up with a good reason for our having TM. Personally, being struck down with Transverse Myelitis and becoming a complete paraplegic from the nipple line on down to the tips of my toes, kept me from continuing to live in a way that was going to cause my complete undoing as a person, here on Earth and also in Heaven. I was living a lifestyle completely in defiance of the Word of God amd it was going to kill me, one way or another. I was selfish, hurting people who loved and cared for me, living only for my own gratification, ignoring every one of God's Commandments. I am so fortunate that God gave my husband a forgiving heart, big enough to become my caregiver. Transverse Myelitis stopped me in my tracks. Stopped me from killing myself, one way or another...I won't bore you with the details, but if any one of you wants a run down on the truth of what God saved me from, I will be happy to email you with my Testimony. Also, Regina, this topic can be discussed without anger as expressed in your email consisting of all capital letters. We are adults who ought to have the capacity of "speaking" without raising our voices. I have not read the rules for this TM List, but I imagine they include no discussion of race, religion ... those kinds of things, so I will not continue here, but as I say...I will share my Testimony with anyone who wants to listen. Love and Peace, Judy "Our present troubles are quite small and won't last very long. Yet they produce for us an immeasurably great Glory that will last forever" 2 Corinthians 4:17 NLT ************************************** Get a sneak peak of the all-new AOL at http://discover.aol.com/memed/aolcom30tour
