I have to share this: I found a book at the library, and since have ordered it
(used, for about $3) from Amazon.com. It's called 'Tone-A-Metrics: The Bedroom
Body Shape-Up', by Brian Heir. It's all exercises you can do lying on your
bed. He originally designed most of the exercises for his brother who was
paralyzed (C-6 quadriplegic) when he was 18, in a diving accident. The brother
has since won several medals in the Paralympic Games. After that, several
others asked him for help, such as people who were too heavy to do exercises
standing up, etc.
I've been using it since I had to stop PT due to the extreme pain in my hip,
from overcompensating for my other leg, which is still not too functional from
the TM. But I didn't want to lose everything I'd gained at PT. It's an uphill
battle (don't we all know!) but it's better than not even trying!
