Hi Kevin, I have an Invacare chair (Pronto M51) and it works fine with thresholds and though I have ramps at the entry doors, it can also go into a home without where the height/step is about 5" with no problem. I've had mine 5 years with no problems and it has a tight raduis if you want to check that one out. Ella
