Hi Ella,

Bingo! You read my mind! (not much there to read)

That's the one I told the chair guy that I'm interested in. Today he tells me that they don't have a demo one for me to try, and he says their Invacare rep just went on maternity leave. Give me a break! I'm not buying a chair without trying it. I may have to try a different dealer. Also there's some confusion with my insurance.

Does yours have the 'van' style seat and adjustable headrest? The M51 I read about has a ground clearance of 2.6 inches. http://www.invacare.com/cgi-bin/imhqprd/inv_catalog/prod_cat_detail.jsp?s=0&prodID=M51PSEMIBLUE&catOID=null

Is this like yours?

Kevin

Hi Kevin,
I have an Invacare chair (Pronto M51) and it works fine with thresholds and though I have ramps at the entry doors, it can also go into a home without where the height/step is about 5" with no problem. I've had mine 5 years with no problems and it has a tight raduis if you want to check that one out. Ella
