Hi Elvira
I'm an adult with TM and I wish you and your son did not have to experience
this condition. You have been on my mind and in my prayers since I first read
your post.
Go to the TMA Forum - Children with TM to read the past posts and ask questions
of the parents of other children with TM. They will be able to give you
specific advice.
Your son will need physical therapy to help with his recoveyy. It is important
in keeping his bones healthy and his muscles strong. You need to be concerned
about muscle atrophy and osteoporsis if your son is not able to stand. Ask
your neurologist to get this care for your son.
I hope you are getting replies from others, however, I wish they would post to
the group so we can all learn from the advice.

ABOUT TEN DAYS. THE DR'S ALL HOPED FOR A MIRACLE. HE GOT A TREATMENT
CALLED PLASMAPHERESIS, IT WORK BECAUSE LITTLE BY LITTLE HIS LUNGS
STARTED TO GET STRONGER WHEN THEY TOOK HIM OF THE VENTILATOR IT WAS
LIKE IF HE WAS BORN AGAIN. HE WENT INTO REHAB RIGHT AWAY, BUT HE IS
PARAPLEGIC. HE IS VERY BRIGHT AND LOVABLE, IT HURTS ME TO SEE THAT THIS
HAPPENED TO HIM. HE WAS A T10 INJURY, HE DOESN'T FEEL TOUCH AND HE
DOESN'T HAVE MOVEMENT. HE DOES GET SEVERE TONE AND HE TAKES BACLOPHEN.
I'M KIND OF LOST BECAUSE I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO ASK THE
NEUROLOGIST?PLEASE HELP ME IN WHAT IT IS THAT I NEED TO KNOW TO HELP MY
