Hi there, I had mono (didn't know it was called Epstein Barre) when I was 40. My doctor laughed and said I was just an old teenager at the time. My daughter was a teen of 18 and my son a teen of 15 and we all had it. We were all very sick. My son is now 37 and if he gets run down he tends to end up with a mild case of mono all over again.
