Marinol is synthetic THC. THC in the natural form does nothing for nerve pain, yet the marijuana plant has a ton of different components, and one of those does work with neuropathic pain. Marinol will get you high, and if you get high enough, you won't care that you hurt. If you use Marijuana, you don't need very much and you can get relief without getting high.
That is my experience with it all. Anyone that tells you that getting high helps, it doesn't, you don't need enough to get high on, yet if you enjoy getting high, then it is a good side effect.
