Bettie, please keep us posted on how it is going!! I have never heard of
this and wouldn't it be wonderful if it keeps on working and our own
insurances would cover it!! I, too, have been having much increased pain
which is getting in the way of a good 'quality of life'!! It has been
increasingly hard to sit, stand, walk, or even stand still without the pain
and it has gotten much, much worse even with the same meds. That says to me
they aren't working any longer and I do not want to take most of the heavy
duty meds. So many of them are just bad news. Thank you for sharing with
us and let us know how you are doing??

Subject: [TMIC] Spinal Stimulator

I am undergoing the knife Dec 2 and receiving a spinal stimulator inplant.
I am curious if anyone in our group has any experience with this operation
and what kind of results you had. I did fairly well with the trial that
reduced the pain by 70% (which was heaven). I have had TM for 14 years and
the last 8 have been filled with so much pain that drugs hardly work anymore
(plus the expense eats up all my social security every month), the pain is
so great that IF I can walk it hurts so bad, I can't concentrate, it is a
living hell. So please let me know your experience, both good and bad, so I
know what I can expect. Five doc have told me to look for a pain relief of
at least 85% if not greater. Thanks from Virginia
