I was under the impression that Neurontin (which I take 1500 mg. a day) was for nerve pain and that the baclofen was for muscle spasms. That is why I only take the baclofen in the evening, so I can get through the night without spasms. Janice

At first I was taking the dosage three times a day [at breakfast, lunch and dinner]. I realized after a couple months that I was getting those same spasms an hour or two before the time for my next dosage. In addition, when I'd wake up each morning, I could barely get myself out of bed because it had been 10-12 hours since my last dosage and I was so crippled up with pain and spasms. I asked my doctor if I could change my dosage to 4 times a day [every 6 hours]. This keeps a steadier amount of meds in my system so I'm not severely affected in the morning. I try to time my dosages to 5am, 11pm, 5pm and 11pm. This has been working really well for me ever since. You might ask you doctor about adjusting your dosage ac cordingly.
